Religious Atheism

S.T. Joshi proclaims in his book “Atheism, A Reader,” that atheist and agnostics need to speak out everywhere. If they have any opportunity at all they should decry religion, it does not matter if it is at work or home or hobby, speak up and bring down stupid religious beliefs. What is utterly humorous is that atheist all day long will tell you “we are not a religion.” During Joshi's rant he stated “I myself am not comfortable with the notion of secularists congregating in groups except for defensive purposes.” Notice, he still allows for congregating in groups, and throughout his article he spouts that they feel under attack, so it seems they are for meeting in groups like religious people.

Next he espouses “opinions must be changed one at a time if necessary;” that sounds a whole lot like trying to “convert” someone to a belief system. Never doubt, atheism is a religion, it is just false. Don't let them fool you into thinking that they are neutral, nor unbiased, nor non religious, they just worship a different god. So our mission must confidently continue, Matthew 28:18-20.

Atheism claims no god, but that is a lie you must see through. Every atheist has declared himself in some fashion to be his own god. Let us just measure the scale of what the term “god” means, and see if atheist have applied it to themselves. Who is the highest power? Each individual human. Who determines what is write and wrong? Humans. Who determines what fact is? This human. Who determines what is enough evidence to believe if something is true or not? The human known as me. Whose senses do we trust to know if something is real? My own senses. Whose mind do we trust beyond any other mine? My own mind.

Every activity in an atheist life, every fact, every motive, eventually has to bow to the great one known as “me.” There is one caveat, the atheist will tell you this is not true, that they actually bow to facts, reasons, logic, rational, common sense, to which the truth quickly responds “Whose interpretation of facts, whose reason, whose logic, whose rational, whose commons sense? We find the trail leads back again to the atheist who worships himself. Atheism is a religion, and it is false.
