Boom Nashville

Today, on msn.com, Nashville makes headlines. Here we go again becoming acclaimed nationally as “the place to be.” News articles like this are only going to increase the fervor for outsiders to flock to Nashville. Those who are disinterested in their current cities, people looking for fresh starts, businessmen looking for new markets, are going to continue coming in droves. So life here is going to become even more varied and exciting in the upcoming years, but don't get caught up in the hype.

There is almost no way for Nashville to retain its flavor while absorbing those from differing backgrounds. Nashville is going to morph quickly from what we are towards what we will be. Let us say we are now starting a new business per week here, are we starting a comparable number of churches? At minimum are our churches that are here experiencing the same type of growth? If we fill up our town with non-believers, and the church, that is you, does not convert or gather them our town will lose its salt. (Matthew 5:13) We are blessed at this moment because of our Christian to non-Christian ratio what will you do to preserve that?

Witnessing is a very simple thing, yet Satan will whisper in your ear and tell you that you can't do that. He will tell you that you don't know how to do it, you will mess it up, that you are not ready. Lies, lies, lies. Stop listening to Satan, when you hear the Lord whisper to you that you need to share Christ with another person that very moment the door is open. Sometimes you will just see the person open up and say “you know I have been thinking a lot about that lately.” Other times you may find them unreceptive, but God would have then used that perfect moment to plant a seed deep into their hearts.

Jesus says that He came to give us abundant life, are you experiencing that or is life a little dull? Witnessing is an exciting experience, especially when you see the Lord move from the silence and begin to work on a person's heart. Seeing God transform a person's life and bring them into your family is an experience of total joy. Why are you missing out?
